“To manipulate history is to manipulate consciousness; to manipulate consciousness is to manipulate possibilities; and to manipulate possibilities is to manipulate power”.
— Dr Amos Wilson
Everyone and everything has identifiable traits. Our unique pigmentation is what makes our race outstanding from all others. Due to our outstanding pigmentation, we can either be easily seen or easily ignored, pertaining to the immediate circumstance. Authors of other ethnic origins have researched and notarized that “blacks” are treated differently from other ethnic groups? (The Color Of Law)* We are the only ethnic group that can be aptly defined by pigmentation! This is a quality of which we should be proud instead of trying to deny! Those of us who are blinded by mentacide, saying we “don’t see color”, need to open our eyes and see that we are the ones who are being negatively targeted because of “color!” We don’t see color but others see us as colored! We need to face this reality and really ‘see’ not only each other but also see ourselves!
“When we suffer from social amnesia we identify with abstractions. I am not black; I am not African; I am a human being. I am a American. Sterile abstract identity.”
Dr. Amos Wilson

Written by a multi-racial panel of economists who are all members of the non-partisan group, United for a Fair Economy, the book; The Color of Wealth: The Story behind the US Racial Wealth Divide, has exposed the disparity of wealth distribution among the ‘races’ in the following quote: “For every dollar owned by the average white family in the United States, the average family of color has less than a dime.” It is a well-known fact that whoever controls the money wields the biggest stick.

Money and wealth (or vice versa) are quite often used synonymously. If you have a significant amount of money and or property, you are considered to be wealthy. In North America and quite possible world-wide, wealth is power!.
“Whoever controls the volume of money in our country is absolute master of all industry and commerce—–when you realize that the entire system is very easily controlled, one way or another, by a few powerful men at the top, you will not have to be told how periods of inflation and depression originate.”
James A. Garfield, 20th president of the United States.
Mehrsa Baradaran, an Iranian by birth, in her book: The Color of Money, opined that based on the dynamics of banks’ borrowing and lending rules, black banks could not sustain the black dollar and in their bid to assist in the alleviation of poverty, they themselves became victims and unwittingly drained the black resources into the white coffers. However, with “less discrimination, segregation, racism and Jim Crow policies, combined with more realistic approach towards black communities, black banking can be successful,” potentially ending the cycle of poverty in black communities.

Richard Rothstein, a writer, speaker, lecturer, author of “The Color Of Law”, is a caucasian who has extensively researched the derivation of low income housing and the effects on the living conditions of African-Americans. Rothstein exposed the manipulation of the justice system to beat the law against segregation of race in various states. Where African- Americans, caucasians and other ethnicities co-existed peacefully, housing developers were able to separate them with “planned”, divided housing developments. This is not racism in the general sense. This is color bias which has contributed to the group behavioral condition of “colorism” among African-Americans.

In this book, author, historian and white supremacist Lothrop Stoddard, discusses how in 1914, he saw that the white population controlled and ruled the “colored races” of the world. He also foresaw that in upcoming decades, whites control would decline and ultimately end due to changing demographics and the technological advances of the colored races. In a quote from the book:
“the massive population boom of the Third World would sooner or later come pressing against all white nations’ borders-driven forward by the Third World’s inability to maintain order and progress, and the offer of a better life under white rule which they claimed to dislike so much.”
While he believed Europeans needed to abandon the concept of “white supremacy” he endorsed “Eugenics” as a means for better race relations. People of African descent were looked at in his eyes as being the most “primitive” of the colored races.

Based on the unbiased observation of qualified intellectuals of varied ethnicities, African-Americans given similar opportunities as their white counterparts, have the potential to uplift their status and emancipate themselves from poverty. Black banking failed not because of a lack of motivation and interest, but because the system was designed for it to fail. Banking regulations were formulated in such a way that ‘Black banks’ could not operate independently of ‘White banks.’ Until African-Americans are able to see color, they will forever be compartmentalized as ‘lower class’ citizens.
“Simply because you don’t see color does not mean that somebody does not see you as being colored!”
